I took a stroll bright and early through Deep Ellum last Sunday morning. I wanted to try a few things. First I'm intrigued by film and I have plenty of rolls I need to use so I loaded up my Nikon F100 with some new Kodak Ektar 100. Secondly, I like vignetting (the dark corners you see in the photo's). A few ways you can achieve this is by stacking filters or, in this case, using a DX lens on an FX body. I used a 35mm f/1.8 DX lens. I honestly had no idea what the end result would be but I was pleasently surprised by the results.
These were all taken around 7:00 in the AM. The bars had closed and their patrons were certainly sound a sleep.
